Doesn't sound like a slipping clutch.
EDIT: Too slow
I wonder if the SRI has damaged the wiring loom?
Looks like it connects to the top outlet of the intercooler.
I believe the early JBR SSPs required some 'mod' to fix this issue? Something to do with a spacer or similar.
It is not what Jrbris is referring too.
Yeah. When I was in Borneo it was very hot / humid.
You would probably want to get it dyno'd after the flash to make sure the AFR's are safe.
I had a look, it appears Malaysia has 95 ron standard, and 97 ron premium.

From memory, when I was in Malaysia they had 95 Ron fuel? I am pretty sure the hypertechs are tuned for 91 Ron so it should be fine.
I would contact hypertech and make sure it would be able to...
Basically yes.
Find somewhere you can do a U-turn in first gear. Turn sharply and you should hear the 'wong wong' noise from the LSD.
You will know it straight away if you have the issue.
Turn sharply at low speed, you will hear the noise from the front end.
If you don't. It's another issue as mentioned above.
I use this. Comes in 6L bottles too which is handy.

Looking at replacing my tyres soon. (Thinking Kumho KU31 215/45/18)
Called around a few places and got a best price of $210 fitted / balanced. Is this reasonable or should I be looking elsewhere?
My car makes the same 'hissing noise'. Drives me absolutely insane. Mazda also claims it is normal.
Definitely seems to come from the pulley area. Need to find a trust worthy mechanic to diagnose...
From what I have read, Koni FSDS are pretty decent.
It's because you linked the mobile site.

I use to think the noise went away when I pushed the clutch in, But it was only because the revs were dropping.
If I bring the revs back up I can hear it just as loud.
I have heard other MPS's...
Bumping this up.
After more research and paying close attention to the noise, I think we may be talking about different noises.
Noise 1: Light humming sort of sound with the clutch pedal out....
Brand: Redline
Type / Viscosity: MT90
Vehicle : 2007 Mazda 3 MPS
K’s on vehicle at time of change: 70k
Oil change number: 2
“Woong Woong” Factor out of 10: Some wong wong at low speeds on tight...
I had the same issue on my car with the 2XS SSP. I think it just depends on the car. They obviously aren't all exactly the same.
I have found the cost to be closer to $60 a rim. (Sandblasted and powdercoated, no repairs)
However, I do agree with the reversible part. I guess it depends if people want the option of being able...
No point trolling an informative thread.
3 - 4 apparently.
I would be interested, but it's not worth it at $90 - $120 dollars imo.
Maybe your transmission didn't have any problems?
+1
If only more businesses were as easy to deal with as ZAS.
Yeah, I am sure it's just all of our bad driving :yeahright:
I don't know what they are like from the factory, but my gear changes leave alot to be desired.
