Thought I'd say Hello and Intro my 6 MPS
Hi guys,
Finally took some pics of the car so I thought I'd finally put up an intro to my car. Been on the forums for a couple of months now. First joined up to get some info about both the 3 and 6 MPS. This forum is such a great source of info.
My previous car history has included a GC8 WRX, an RS Clio 172 and an Evo IX. The wife made me sell the Evo when we got married cause it "wasn't a family car". After driving around in a CRV for a while, i really really wanted a faster car. On the shortlist of "acceptable" cars was the Subaru Liberty GT or the 3/6 MPS. The Liberty is a hard car to find in manual so it was mostly the MPS that I could find for sale.
Anyways, a couple of months ago, finally found a fairly low KM 6 and the owner swore that it had never been modified. Which was weird because when the turbo was out for an upgrade, it turned out that it was a BNR turbo of some sort. :2thumb: Not that I'm complaining. Loved the low down torque but then got hankering to modify for more power.
The car currently is running a GTX3071 with the usual supporting hardware under the engine. Also has a 2XS coated exhaust mani, SURE TMIC, CP-E DP and a custom exhaust. Brakes and suspension have been upgraded and it's currently rolling on RX8 rims. Also currently in the process of being tuned by Ray. A water Meth kit will go in fairly soon. Mods were done at Ramp Auto Group. Am also doing some research about building a forged motor as well as a clutch upgrade. All dependent on $$$ or my current lack of any. :shrug:
