Site unresponsive : Service interruption

Hi everyone. Server had some issues tonight 24-4-17. It has just been restarted. I don't know what time the issues began. I noted this evening I was getting zero sized replies from the web server attempting to access articles. Server has been restarted and service has resumed.

Please post here in replies with any outages you noticed and what you remember of the time and error message you saw from the system.

Have had some minor glitching on the Victorian internet link where the site server resides this morning.
Last night could have been an interruption to private routes between Queensland and Victoria; if so a random 50% of users may have seen proxy timeout error messages - they're distinctive because they are not your usual 404 can't find errorpage.

In short 50% users continue working normally and 50% see an error message; which users see an error is decided by which gateway they are connecting to - QLD or VIC. Which gateway you are connecting is decided by round robin DNS with a 60minute TTL. The round robin distributes connections between the two public gateways. It ends up being fairly random as to who's connecting to QLD vs VIC service gateways.
