Could be a number of things but it is unlikely. Plus there is a cam follower so the Autotechs shouldn't have any direct contact with the cam.

if it is smooth, then no worries. if you can feel it, then you have issues. and most likely incorrect tolerance between camber and follower.
Shouldn't be a problem then. Still do annual checks to be sure though. I've seen race preped MX5s that rev 2000rpm higher, be abused somewhat more and have alot more mileage have the same wear. And still function like they should.
