As usual, nothing special from these guys.
They told me they vacuumed my car. Had a look and i couldnt tell, the rear seats had marks on the leather and had dirt in some places. Certainly wasnt caused by me as i dont use the rear seats much.
Got charged $32 in Misc...LOL
Mentioned how the air con has this stale smell for the past 4 months..esp during the hotter weather. and of course they didnt smell anything which was not considered normal.

Just an update on the above.
I got a call from Mazda asking for my feedback on my recent service at Mcgraths Livo.
I told them my gripes and the nice lady told me she will speak to the manager and get back to me. She called back 30min later and offered a free exterior/interior detail.
I was grateful that they were willing to do that and politely said thanks but no thanks.
During my 1,000 and 10,000 services, I specifically requested not to have my car washed so there was no way I was gonna let them touch my car!
But thumbs up to their customer service team

The boys at Penfold look after me (I have bought 3 cars from them in the last 5 years). Manager there knows I am particular about the car, so makes sure it all gets sorted to my liking.
Really good at explaining if things need to be done, and provide options.

An oil change was to be completed as part of the service. Was informed by the Service Manager, that he recommended RX-8 Oil be put in, as its 100% Mineral, and better for "wear in" under 10,000km (Vehicle has only 6,700km on the clock). Oil change was not done, and a follow up oil change was completed today.
The Group Service Manager contacted me and appologised. I will give the opportunity for the next service 20,000km to be completed by them.
Very impressed with the way he handled it. Thus, I've amended the service rating.

State: NSW
Dealer: Central Coast Mazda
Service interval: 90k
Date: 17/05/10
Price: $297.65
Service rating: 9/10
Value: 6/10
Overall: 7.5/10
Overall Central Coast MAZDA aren't too bad.
Although under warranty they have replaced the rear shocks, #4 engine mount (@70923klm), Front RH and LH shocks, both front bump stops, NSF thrust bearing (@85515klm), and now the NSF spring (@90240klm) they have been chasing this knock in the front end for a while. Also they did take three goes at fixing my wife's 2009 MX5 with a gearbox leak.
All up they could be a lot worse, but they definitely could do a lot better with their excess for their courtesy cars................... $2000, come on, that is just ridiculous. That's a good way of ensuring no-one wants to use that "service".
P.S sorry Dan for not reading fully content of this thread before I posted before.

MPS3 this time. Was one of the better ones this morning, waited for it, read their paper, drank their cofee, used their internet and they took less time than originally planned. (1.5hrs) had a chat about the time interval for services (as I dont do many kms), they didnt wash it as thats what I requested, and also they didn't put their silly " your next service is due" sticker on my front window tint. The only thing I still struggle with is the actual costs. Came back in writing with 5000km interval serviccing at $179 (oil change) so damn expensive, need to learn it myself. Will be interesting to see what Parkland Mazdas new 26 bay workshop is like when it opens.
BTW Parkland quoted $30 more for this same service.

Date: 10/08/10
Price: $208.xx
Service rating: 8/10

There was nothing wrong with the car, just took it in for filter and oil change. They topped up everything else etc and gave it a good clean as well which it needed.
Courtesy bus to and from station is a major bonus as well imo, so yeah quite pleased. They are looking into the cruise problem about it disengaging itself as well.
