2007 Mazda 3 MPS. . . Recently bought

Glad to have joined this site have been overseas and now back and thought id start of by saying hello.

Have recently bought a Mazda 3 MPS late 2007 model and Love it to death.

Never really thought of them to much till i bought one.

Also loving what people post and all the great info you can get of this site.

was wondering if i could get some advice... lastweek i took my MPS M3 for a service at mazda..

when i got it back i could hear that when i turn my steering wheel to turn a corner or even do a U TURN i can hear like a WHOOP WHOOP sound coming out of the car somwere but only when turning not when driving straight . . also there is sometimes a click or two that happen..

im thinking it could be my CV joints...as a car that has 65000kms is this possible already . . and on the report mazda gave me after the service it says they checked all the bearings and what so . . . unless this is all lies...

any advice is appreciated

Any other noise other than a CONSTANT clicking, will not be CV joints.
A whoops noise sounds more likely a LSD lubing problem in the diff. Nothing to panic about. Change your diff oil and it should be ok...

Its normal, the woong sound is common for the MPSs its just the LSD doing its thing, you can try a different gearbox oil if it bothers you that much, there are a few threads on the different oils available, look in the drivetrain section. I would recommend you do a GB oil change anyway given the k's on your car.

I done a gearbox and diff change at about 61000kms . . . so you guys believe its LSD hmmm . . . i might take it to mazda next week ask them to see . . .

If it's a constant clicking noise while on the gas on tight low speed corners it'll be the outter cv joints
