Hello from me
Hello all,
Chris is the name... new to the site, first post, but been lurking for a week or two...
Both a happy and sad day for me today... Picked up my shiney '05 MPS 6 today (YAY), but had to say goodbye to my tired but still loads of fun MX-6 (1st gen, 2.2L Turbo).
Previously had an assortment of big V8s... The MX-6 was my first turbo, in fact my first 4 cylinder, and after 1 drive I was hooked
But the time had come to reitre the poor old MX-6, motor was still strong, but the rest of it was starting to fall apart.
So... now the proud new owner of a Silver 2005 Mazda 6 MPS. Have not yet had a chance to find even half of the bells an whistles on it yet, it is a world of difference to the tiny lighweight MX-6, and the old-school V8 HQ I had before that...
Already planning my first mods...
Lower it a bit, though not too low, the MX-6 with it's superlows was fun... but grinding over every speedhump got a bit droll after a while.
CAI/SRI for a little bit of turbo noise.
Boost gauge (maybe a dashhawk?) so I can see what is going on.
Will get some pics over the weekend if the weather is good...
Looking forward to lots of fun in my new Zoom-Zoom beast...
Chris.

Hey Chris and
to ozMPSclub! Nice choice of car with the 6MPS!!!
Those mods sound pretty good, you can go a bit further but depends on if you have a budget in mind and what you would like to achieve from the car.
Feel free to browse the forum and poke around in the members ride section if you like

Welcome Chris. Nice history of previous cars. Please post up some pics of them. There are some V8 and MX-5 fans here.

Welcome Chris!!! I too come from the same back ground of the Mazda 2.2Lt Turbo
I miss mine so much
The wife wanted me to drive a newer car so I had to upgrade 2 years ago
I had done lots to it... It felt faster than the MPS, but the 626 was all or nothing with its power so it just felt faster, the MPS is a lot more even in its power delivery!

What state are you from Chris?
Adelaide.... We need more members lol
