How you been mate?? Long time no chat!!
Hi guys,
thought it's only fair if I come on here and register and be part of the fun, even if I drive a XR5.
Would love to catch up sometime, and maybe join in on some cruising action.
Congrats on the site![]()

Welcome Noetzy. Good to see other cars join the forum![]()
I'd be keen to catch up on Sat..
Phew nice to see another non-MPS car here... I was feeling a bit lonely... lol.
Tell us about the Xr5...
How long have you had it for?
What were your initial impressions compared to after having it a while?
Performance?
Day to day livability?
Quality of build?
Fun Factor?
Fuel Economy?
Mods?
Anything else?
This is my second XR5, had this one for 5 months. Some of the boys will remember the bluey. (which is now owned by a guy in Victoria)
I find it a very comfortable car to live with, as we all know each car has it's own personality and the XR5 is a good match for me. It's a great car to just cruise around in day to day, but it's also got plenty of go when you need it.
Solidly built, the type of car you'd want to be in in the event of a crash.
Very fun, much the same as the MPS I suppose.
I average between 9.8 and 11.4 per tank, but I do mainly highway driving (15000k's in 5 months.)
I've got Dreamscience tune, EBC reds and braided hoses, CAI and top pipe, Radtec intercooler, and a few cosmetic mods; painted wheels, grilles and diffuser. Also rebadged the car as a ST as they have them in the UK.
Got a spare set of rims and R888 tres for track days.
Personally I don't particularly like the look of the XR5 facelift, it just doesn't look finished, but a few small tweaks, and it looks pretty good.![]()
Nice mods- have you had it dyno'd?
Where on earth is Uki?
South/West of Murwillumbah
Very small town, blink and you've past it.
