Everyone is being helpful and nice already. So not used to this coming from Honda forums. haha.
Thanks for this. This is the answer I was looking for- Looking to do this car on a budget, oppose to the Integra. But I will ask detailed questions about intake and all. First mod will be Defi's, then intake of some sort, then a nice quiet street exhaust, followed by some Mazdaspeed springs. That's all I have planned for it, and that's pretty much as far as I want to go with this car. I just want to enjoy it and actually Drive it! I never got to drive the Integra really.
Thanks for the suggestion
hehehe definately not converted from VTEC to turbo. I'll always be a Honda fan boi. We have 4 in the family, and we've owned Honda's since I was a kid, i've worked at Honda, and just love them. I still consider turbo cheating and I will definately be back to a NA screamer one day for track work, but the MPS will make a beautiful daily driver. The thing I like bout the MPS, is that there is hardly any lag, and it's a beautiful car. My sister had a mazda 6 a few years ago, and I drove it alot - managed to blow the engine after 20,000 km's which was annoying. I've heard the MPS motor is pretty damn strong thoughI can't wait to own one!! This whole selling Integra thing is taking way too long.
Awesome thanks. So it's just interior differences. I heard that the earlier ones had engine mount issues? Is this true, or was this just a bad batch that was recalled?
Also, Sunroof's... Was this a dealer option?

Many myths out there spoken to many 06/07 made cars and have had no issues there was a lot of talk about turbos smoking but very few,and the sunroof was an option I did tick the box but because I requested exhaust and chipped it ws going to take 2 weeks all up so I can the sunroof...
Sunroof was a DEALER option not FACTORY.
So basically it was 'aftermarket' - warranty would be from the dealer not Mazda.
Thanks again!
Would love a Sunroof. I might just get one put in.
Yep, the one i'm thinking of. Porn.
How much are you looking to spend on a MPS?
Mine is for sale and already has most of the tasty bits on it...

Hey Ricki,
Welcome to forum! Like yourself, I left the Honda Clan and joined the MPS. I loved driving and missed my Honda Civic EM1! Those B16 engines are really something and sounds awesome at 8700rpm! (VTEC YOOOO!)
Enjoy the forum!![]()
hehe, wow just read through this thread. I was so keen to get an MPS.
Didnt' end up getting one though. Bought an Evo 8 instead.

hahaha. Love the MPS's though, honestly do you know what scared me off them... the Warrenty recall list, that and the fact that they are near impossible to sell. I honestly think they have more pull than the Evo though.
Warranty recall![]()
Gonna say what warranty recalls?

Those warrenty issues. Just seemed like a massive f*** around. Also warrenty was dropping out of the ones I wanted to buy anyways, so just didn't want to risk it.
Regardless, I love the 3MPS's I would have loved to get one. Really liked this forum and community aswell.
To Ozmpsclub you will regret not buying a mps

Methinks it woud have been very hard giving up a DC2. Not too many FWD cars around that handled that well for the money. But if you've had the fun your'e going to have, it's time to move on.
