i hate the spider web look, too hard to clean, and on a larger car a recon less with wider area looks better, however i love the bottom ones for a 3... they are sexy.
as i said, SEXY! but id hate to clean em.......... what colour car you got dotty?
Latool- the rx8 rims do indeed fit the 6- many people have them!
DOROTHY- If you got sealant from FI you should be putting a few coats on your rims- they will stay much cleaner, and when dirty much easier to clean.
I have so much knowledge today, I have even surprised myself.
Clean? What the hell is that? You don't clean wheels, just cover them in a thick layer of brake dust =P
yeah break dust... yuk... does ne 1 else find the front dusts up hugely compared to back... i was thinking of getting some new breaks... want some nice red powder coated ones to match my car.... opinions?
The MPS brakes will be pretty hard to beat with aftermarket ones- there are a few big brake kits available but I have only ever seen pics of two sets installed as the stock ones are so good. If you want red calipers you can paint them and put a mazda sticker on them- lots of people have done this and it looks pretty good and all up cost is about $30.
You can reduce the amount of break dust on your rims by applying a few coats of sealant- like Zaino Z2pro or Optimum Car Wax- they both work great.

shinslinger66: And you forgot to add that they are also a girls car!
kool. with painting i have herd it flakes off after about 3 months... hence i wanted powder coated.... is this true?
If you use a high quality, high temperature paint then it should be fine. There are a few purpose made paints out there, VHT for one, though I'm not sure exactly how good that is as I've never had the urge to paint any of my calipers and I know they get pretty damn hot.
Oh and don't forget to clean and prep the surface properly.

I just wash my wheels and dry them every time I was the car. Just with normal car wash (the left overs in the bucket) and a damp rag to wipe them dry.
