Hi there,

Obviously new here and no mazda yet

I have been thinking about buying the mazda 3 mps say 2007/2008 model but couldnt help reading a thread in this forum about many issues you guys have had with the vehicle and it concerns me

Another vehicle that looked interesting was the hsv vxr which didnt seem to bad... yeh i know its a holden

Id appreciate any advice to maybe put my concerns to rest.

The 3MPS as stock is a great car...

I have had no problems with mine and it has done 95000kms of hard driving.

Mine is a Nov 06 build....

As for the HSV VXR...i have driven it...as i was an opel fan and car club member...and its woeful.

Horrible interior and very overpriced....i do like the aggressive styling and wheels tho.

Search for a good one..and you should have a problem...or you can always buy the new MPS just been released.

All cars have their issues, people document when they have problems, dont neccesarily document when things are perfect!

Trust me tho, the VRX ..eeek. once you get an MPS, you wont look back, and blowing the door knobs off a VRX on the road is one of the funnest things you will do.

monster, I say go the MPS3, as stated problems are always reported and told to more than one person, the good points rarely get talked about. For me the MPS3 has so many more good points over the VXR and I've heard from an associate who has one the understeer is woeful quick though
