    Default Hello!! New From Gold Coast!

    Hi guys!

    I've recently purchased an '06 MPS in Cosmic Blue, and am enjoying it thoroughly! I think I found a good one - it's only done 18,000km, but has been serviced by Mazda every 6 months since new, regardless of the low kms. Looks absolutely brand new. Has no modifications, though it has a towbar (which I'm looking to sell if anyone is keen?). I'd love a BOV I think, to reduce some of the lag, but other than that, I'm happy with it as-is!

    My last car was an '05 Mini Cooper S, and while the MPS isn't QUITE as fun on the winding roads, I'm LOVING it none the less!

    I have had a LOOONG love affair with cars:




    My first car, the Escort, was built from the bottom up by my dad and I in to a 140hp@RW MONSTER.




    Next was the E30 323i BMW which I STILL regret selling (most AMAZING sounding exhaust you've EVER heard).



    Then the Supercharged Mini with glass roof. Got rid of the Mini, as it was starting to cost me money (BMW parts = BMW prices!!!) and we bought a house.




    The Mazda was a cheaper option with even more power - though I miss the fact that the Mini cornered so well that you didn't need to slow down around sharp bends. Lol.

    I'm Primary School Teacher on the Gold Coast, and returned from shopping the other day to find a card for your forum on my car window from Nirvandan, so I thought I would pop in!

    I've just seen that someone on the forum has a VERY similar screen name to mine (MISSMPS), so I may need to change mine if that's possible?! I couldn't find a way to do it! I apologise, MISSMPS - I was unaware until just now

    Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

    Posting those pictures hs actually just made me realise that I've only ever owned blue cars....

    Though, the Escort was a delightful BEIGE when I bought it...and (sorry if I offend?)...is cosmic blue REALLY blue?! Looks grey in most lights to me!!

    Miss_MPS, One of our members has a Safe n' Sound Babyseat, he might need the use of a tow bar...

    Welcome to the forum.
    That would be "Spud". He works with me here in Bris and lives down the coast. He & I both have similar stripes and his is the Black. Mine is the AB.

    A few years of dirt, crud and some hail damage, hahaha....

    My Odo rolled over the 95,000kms mark the other day and the only difference I can feel is a little softness in the suspension. I'm surprised the car is still going strong after a long life at the hands of this mountain goat
