Hello,
After many years of driving my ever trusty and reliable hyundai excel I made the hard decision to retire it from active duties and replace it with a few more mod cons as the excel was the poverty pack model. The list of potential repalcements varied from a toyota MR2, daihatsu copen, MX6, MX5, something V8, RX7 to some other hyundai product but I settled on a Mazda 3 MPS mainly because I have always liked them and wouldn't of minded having one and it would of went with my Mazda theme as I have a 82 RX7 and a 67 Mazda 1500.
After many months of procrastinating I set off on many adventures to purvey the local market to see what was around. After viewing many cars I decided on a 2006, Aurora Blue, low klm item, 77800 klms to be exact. It had all its log books and up to date services and drove nicely and was quick enough.
Anyhows, hi and if i'm lucky and can do it, here are a few pictures......

Redjinn - c'mon! it's a great garden ornament, a real talking piece
Love the RX7. WElcome!!
Convertible S3.. Rare as fuk.. Is it factory version? They came 12a turbo from memory.
Nice MPS to brahhh!!
Series 2 actually, very rare yes.....it is open to contention if it's a factory version but it all points to being the "factory" version due to the full recaro interior. Mazda Australia actually commissioned a place in Melbourne to do the conversions, the name eludes me at the moment and numbers converted are rather vague and open to debate. The numbers listed are 14 or 220. I like to think 14 but I don't think so as I have seen 3 others for sale in the last 18 months. They came out with just a plain old carby fed 12a. Mine has a series 5 13b with added extras.
Mopar, rotar or no car

I didn't know they did au spec versions at all. Old man had a jap spec s3 savanna convertible he imported about 10/15yrs ago. Fuel injected, non intercooled, 12a turbo. It got stolen but was one of a kind over here, then I saw yours I thought it was another. Would love to buy him one again one day lol
Yar, not many. A handful from the dealers and others done aftermarket. It turns the heads, many people go, oh yeah, rx7, then they get closer and their heads just about snap off when they realise it has no roof. They are out there, just have to keep an eye out as they do pop for sale occasionally.
Good to hear it!! Don't ever get rid of the 1500, one of the most unappreciated classic cars around.

Hey mate nice cars.
Do you live Northside?
I saw a white RX7 convertible like yours when I was on an FD cruise a couple of months back.
I really don't intend to and that it is, it's a shame as the are a real mix of jap and euro thanks to the beretone design. Lucky that alfa romeo turned down that design becasue if they didn't they would be full of rust and have a higher asking price. I've also told the missus that she doesn't need to worry about a coffin for me, just put me and all my crap in the car and dig a big hole and bury the lot. Has to be cheaper.....right?
