    Default New Sydney member! 2008 BK Series 2 MPS

    Hi all,

    Just purchased a 2008 Mazda 3 BK Series 2 MPS!

    Absolutely incredible piece of work... I'm loving every minute of it!

    Interesting fact - Original owner of this vehicle was the General Manager of MRT Performance (Rhodes).

    Car has had a what they call a XA Power Kit... basically a Remapping of the ECU.

    I love everything about the car... my only problem is TRACTION!

    I'm guessing everyone has this problem... any ideas?

    Welcome there. GM of MRT?? Brett Middleton?? Didn't know they owned a MPS before. What color is it?

    Traction issue is built in with the car But can always be min with a few bolt on suspension/engine mount mods

    Get better tyres, when I went from KU39 to PS3 it made a huge difference. Go to 225/40/18

    Thanks heaps!!! Yeah could be Brett or could also be Ben... not sure as the car has changed ownership once before.

    I bought it off a gentleman who works within the motor financing industry and claims that's who he bought it off...

    I thought that was the case with traction... will investigate engine mount mods and definitely in need of a new set of tyres!

    Looking forward to wearing the current ones down to the wire!

    Yes was going to say look into an upgraded rear engine mount. There are plenty of options out there, and plenty of opinions
    Wont take you long to wear those tyres down though
    Check out the Sydney meet thread, they have Thursday meets at the moment.

    You could be right... Still has original Plates so I'm they'll recognise the car once they see it. I'm keen to get it back there and see what other lovely things they can help me with.
