General Rules

Spam is prohibited

Spamming by use of the forum, email, chatbox, visitor messages, blog comments, picture comments and private message systems is not allowed. Repetitive posting of the same topic or text or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users also constitutes spam and will be removed.

OzMPSclub.com reserves the right to determine what constitutes “spam” and no correspondence will be entered into.
Posting

New threads must always be titled appropriately to ensure easy categorisation and cataloging. Do not use symbols or CAPS to attract readers. Whilst, not everyone is perfect, please attempt to write posts in a decipherable language. Posts written in ‘SMS Speak’ or CAPS may be edited.

All posts must be in English, unless used in context with translation. Unnecessary posts purely to increase post counts will be removed and your post count will be reset.

Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. Posts that are insulting and rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be. Infractions may be issued for insulting or rude feedback.

Please keep in mind that areas of this forum are visible to members of the public, including those who may make decisions about the ongoing validity of warranties, members of law enforcement agencies, etc. So ensure that you are happy that any information you post could be viewed globally.

Some words on this forum will be censored with asterisks. Using partial masking (such as asterisks or punctuation marks) to bypass the profanity filter is prohibited and will result in the same action as if the actual word had been typed.

Comments that are long-winded, redundant and filled with angry, non-constructive comments (more commonly known as ranting) is discouraged. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the site, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.
Trolling, Baiting and Personal attacks are prohibited

The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting. Harassment based on sexual orientation, gender, race, religious views or similar; or wilful and unnecessary insults by forum post or Private Message is strictly forbidden and will result in an immediate ban from the forum.

Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude.

Baiting is when the poster intentionally makes a comment designed to encourage an argument or entice another member to retaliate.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Personal attacks, whether they occur on the forum or via private message are not tolerated.

Text in any of the above context, is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated.
No posting of personal information and/or images/information of other member’s cars

Please respect the privacy of other OzMPSclub.com members and do not give out information such as phone numbers and addresses without prior permission.

Please refrain from posting images of other people’s vehicles (particularly license plates) unless you have permission from the owner. Posting license plate details in the “Spotted Members” section is allowed, as only members can view it.
Images, avatars and signatures

Posting images is permitted provided:

(a) You own the rights to distribute the image(s); or
(b) You have permission to distribute the image(s); or
(c) The image is in the public domain.

Posting of images which are deemed to be inappropriate will be removed and the user issued with a warning.

Please consider resizing your images to allow them to load quicker on slower internet connections. This will help to improve the overall efficiency of the site. It is advised that images be inserted into posts by linking them from another internet source.

Avatars should be unique. Attempts to impersonate another member and/or administrator by use of a similar avatar will not be tolerated.

Linking to other sites in your signature is permitted provided it is not a product or service that competes with a product or service offered by OzMPSclub.com and/or its sponsors/vendors.

Advertising for products or services within a signature/avatar/post, unless you are a sponsor, is not permitted and will be removed.

Links and promotional text for a site that is not commercial and does not contain product(s) and/or service(s) is allowed, provided the site is not sexual or does not violate OzMPSclub.com’s community standards. The OzMPSclub.com team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. (Examples include sites about drugs and/or sex.)

Duplicate links to the same URL in a signature is not allowed, and will be removed.
Buying and Selling

In order to post a new topic in "Member Buy and Sell" section you must be a member for at least 21 days and have a minimum post count of 10. Spamming to increase your post count in order to post in this section will result in a warning. Meaningless posts used to boost your post count can be removed without warning by OzMPSclub.com Moderators and/or Administrators.

If you are selling an item ensure that the thread title is preceded with the appropriate prefix from the drop down box (this is compulsory):

“For Sale:” for items that are for sale
“Group Buy:” for organised group buys
“WTB:” for “Wanted To Buy” items
“EOI:” for “Expression of Interest” items

Threads that are not sufficiently labelled may be edited at Admin/Moderator’s discretion. So please save us the time and hassle by doing it right the first time.

Do NOT create multiple threads relating to the same sale. If you have several items to sell please make ONE THREAD ONLY.

All posts in the Member Buy and Sell forum require adequate pricing details.

On completion of the sale, please update your original post and append "SOLD" to the end of the post and advise a member of the Forum Staff, to ensure this section is up to date.

If contacted by a Moderator and/or Administrator to provide further details, proof of ownership or other such documents for an item(s) listed in the Buy/Sell section, you must respond in a timely fashion. Failure to do so, or produce adequate information/reasoning will result in the deletion of your thread.

Companies/organisations are not permitted to advertise on the OzMPSclub.com forums/website unless that company/organisation is a sponsor of OzMPSclub.com. Intentionally misleading members so as to sell a product or increase sales for a product is strictly forbidden and will result in an official warning.

Group buys are allowed, providing they comply with the forum’s rules and regulations. Only businesses that are sponsors/vendors may make special group purchases available to members in this section.

All transactions taking place on this forum are done so at your own risk. OzMPSclub.com accepts no responsibility for any loss or injury resulting in a purchase made from this site.

Cruises/Events

Events identified in the “Club Cruises/Social Events” forum are not sanctioned club events unless otherwise expressed. Banned members are not permitted to participate in club events.

Warnings/Infractions

OzMPSclub.com has an "infraction point" warning system designed to keep our community clean and in order. This system applies to all infractions except those outline under Section 11, which are subject to immediate bans. The procedure is as follows:

1st breach - warning only (no infraction points)
2nd and subsequent breaches – Infractions and points issued to user

Infraction point values vary with the severity of the breach. Most attract 1 (one) infraction point which is valid for 3 (three) months. Whereas, more severe infractions can attract 2 (two) or more infraction points and are valid for 6 (six) or more months. Point values and validity and can be changed or extended if desired by forum staff.

If at any time you accumulate 3 points, your account will automatically be placed under a 2 (two) week ban. Eg. If you were given a warning in February, you receive a 2 point infraction in March and then in April you receive a 1 point infraction your account will be issued with a two week ban.

Any infraction issued within 6 months after a temporary ban will result in a permanent ban.

Warnings can be issued by any Moderators and/or Administrators as required and are usually agreed upon by more than one Moderators or Administrators prior to issue. However, if a serious breach occurs your account may be banned immediately without consultation of other Moderators and/or Administrators. Decisions made by the forum staff are final. No negotiation will be entered into.
Impersonating another forum user, moderator, volunteer, sponsor or administrator is strictly prohibited

You are expressly forbidden from impersonating anyone else, including those named above on the forum or by any other means, even in jest. This may be grounds for permanent loss of your forum membership.
Duplicate accounts are prohibited

It is prohibited to have more than one account per person. If this is identified, the first account will be warned and the second account will be deleted.
Immediate banning from the forum can result from any of the following:

The posting of pornography; discriminatory remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; excessive obscene or vulgar language; posts which discuss or illustrate illegal activity; providing links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned. Immediate banning may also happen if deliberate sabotage of the growth of OzMPSclub occurs. This point applies to any information posted using the forum system, including Private Messages.
Warnings, bans and private communication between moderators, administrators of the forum are not to be discussed on the forum

Such matters shall remain private between the administrator/moderator and the user. Questions or comments concerning warnings and bans will be conveyed through e-mail or private messaging. Likewise, discussions regarding moderator actions are not permitted on the forum. If you have questions regarding a post or thread, please contact webmaster@ozmpsclub.com.
Account deletion and ownership of posted material

OzMPSclub does not delete member's accounts if you simply no longer wish to be a member, instead you must let your membership become inactive. Accounts that have been inactive for 12 months may be deleted without consultation of the member.

By submitting posts, pictures, videos and content to the forum, you accept that all Work becomes the property of OzMPSclub and its licensees and assignees and that you grant OzMPSclub and its licensees and assignees a non-exclusive licence to exercise all rights in perpetuity throughout the world in your Work and all other material provided by you to the forum at any time.

Without limiting the rights granted above, you acknowledge OzMPSclub may exercise any of the following non-exclusive rights throughout the world:

(i) the right to communicate your Work in whole or in part to the public on any media platform
(ii) the right to provide a free download of your Work in downloadable format from the Website.

You agree that OzMPSclub may use your Work provided to OzMPSclub for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of Oz in any media without notice and without any fee being paid to you.
Moderation

Although the administrators and moderators of OzMPSclub.com will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and the owners/administrators/moderators/associates of OzMPSclub.com will not be held responsible for the content of any message.

The material contained on this Forum is general comment only and is not intended as advice on any particular matter. Professional advice should be sought before any action is taken based upon the matters discussed.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post (or Private Message) any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. The owners of OzMPSclub.com reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason without explanation.

To the full extent permitted by the law, OzMPSclub will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) to persons or property as a result of any person participating in forum discussion or activities.
