    Default Replacement spring heights

    Hey all,

I currently have the Cobb springs but am not happy with the rear drop. I am looking at selling the Cobbs and replacing with something else, Eibach sportslines/Pro etc.

Does anybody know the drop difference with the other spring kits in comparison to the Cobbs?

The front is fine and scrapes driveways like a bitch as is (Tyre shops/mechanics struggle to get the car on hoists eg), the rear on the other hand sits higher. I feel that the rear sitting higher contributes to the front end scrapes due to the angle produced.

So any ideas on my replacements would be greatly appreciated (Pics would be handy also )

    Cheers Aaron

I like my Cobbs. Your going to sacrifice ride quality by changing them.

I have the same angle issue but different springs. Mine sits lower than the cobbs and i can manage to get around ok (years of very low cars) I was thinking of getting cobbs after going in Con's car.
If you want to sell them let me know

How much lower than std is your car? I spoke with GSA wholesale in Brisbane about lowering my car and I was informed that a drop of only 10 to 15mm all round was the most beneficial height for the MPS3 as a street driven car. Apparently they've done some testing along the track on the MPS3. Also do you have springs only or springs and shocks/struts?

Just noticed the tyre sidewalls look quite high compared to the stock 215/45's, i gather those RT615's are 225/45's? Height is just right..

if you can pick the 4.5mm difference in sidewall height between my 225/45 (101.25mm) and the stock 215/45 (96.75mm) then ya must have bloody good eyes

Overall total tyre height difference between the 2 is just on 9mm and it actually makes the damn inaccurate mazda speedo read a little bit closer to the mark

Not saying it is a bad thing, was just the first thing i noticed when i looked at the pics. Plan on getting some RT615's in 225/45 when my stock Potenza's finally need replacing..
