Default Clunking sound coming from front end?

I'm getting a clunking sound and I'm thinking it might be from the stock shocks...?
I fitted lower KingSprings about 2 years ago, the front shocks are stock and the rears must have been changed to KYB's before I owned it.

I'm not 100% sure it's the shocks as sometimes it goes away then makes the noise under very slight bumps.

I have about 190kw atw so I imagine bushes etc could be worn out too maybe? I have a CPe REM already installed so it can be that.

I have researched Koni FSD shocks but their book listing dose not list the MPS6 (does list MPS3) and under Mazda6 it states *Excludes 4WD
Has someone come across this before? And what was the part number of the FSD's they used (mps6 )
Would a bush kit be something I could DIY? Or do you really need a hoist or something?
Thanks for any advice in advance :-)

Just had the control arm bushings replaced on mine. It had a whole suite of clunks and thumps when turning, and now as sweet as a peach.
I've no idea how you would test them without removing them, though.
I had the shop do mine.

After listening to again just before it's more of a squeaking rubbing noise...

Control arm bush is the one on the end of the steering rack yeah? I would say that bush looks really flat and has a decent gap (5-10mm)above it!

I think I fixed it myself, might as well share it because it could happen to anyone!

I stopped the squeak by tightening the nut on the top/middle of the front strut by about 1/2 a turn.
Think I might upgrade the suspension soon still anyway as I'm looking forward to better handling to match the power :-)

I don't have the invoice in front of me, but OEM parts were about $85, plus an hours' labour. I had it done at the dealership, so an hours' labour means I only have to take out a small mortgage.
I'm sure aftermarket parts would be much cheaper, and a local mechanic less expensive, but at least with the dealer they diagnose, fix, and give me a nice new car to blat around in for the day.
