not really impresed with thme. they dont seem to have the same bite the factry ones did... do they need extended bed in time or something sily? i've bled them and done 500kms but they just aren't living up to my expectations.

should i put some RED STUFF pads in there instead? and some fresh dot5.. car has just done 60000kms
    Hi,

Firstly what exactly are you using the car for? Any track work or is this just a daily?

Secondly, do you mean 5.1 fluid? Because dot 5 is a specialty fluid and can only be used in vehicles that the manufacture specifically specifies to do so, and MPS3 is definitely not one of them. Dot 5.1 fluid is the same Super dot 4 which is rated to about 270-280 degrees. This will be an upgrade if you have just been previously using regular dot 4. It wont help with the bite of the pads, but it will increase the limit to what the brake fluid will boil at.

Street use with the occasional trip to Wakefield.
There was a pin sticking out of the extreme pads that locates the shim plate on the backing plate of the outer pad. . This fouls on the caliper and it looked like the pad wasn't sitting flush. Could this be the cause?
It feels like the front pads just aren't doing much.

    Hi,

If the pads where not in the caliper properly of not facing up to the rotor completely, then yes this is most likely why the pads did not feel like they should've. Get them into the caliper properly and see how they go. If your still not happy, then we can look at some alternatives.

if when i pull the extreem pads out there is only a small contact patch then we will know why they feel crap.
