    Melbourne Group Installation will be done by 09/04/13 between 9am and 6pm near the airport. Not available from 5pm and 6pm due to pre bookings.

    Hi Anoez

    Sorry about that. We do not plan for GI in Perth but I think it could be done by any installer in your area. It is not big job, if the installer follows a manual.
    Please email me, I will send you an installation manual then you could show some of local installers if they are able to do this.

    The Guy is in Sydney, in Auburn.

    Dunno if he will offer a GB price, didn't before.

    Unit still works after a few yrs now, so no complains here apart from the fact that i got the early model with no guidance lines : /

    I had my reverse camera installed and integrated into my GPS screen on the weekend, and I thought I'd post up some thoughts on here

    The install time was quick, just under 1.5 hours, $350 total. I watched him work as I was really curious to see how it's installed and the insides of my dash. He was a really friendly guy, and was happy to explain anything I asked about.

    How does it work? A secondary circuit board is installed within the GPS unit, on top of the main circuit board (see the attached pictures). A small black camera is mounted just above the number plate and the cable is run through the passenger side. The GPS screen works as per normal until reverse is engaged, and is instantly reverted back to normal once you shift out of reverse. It's triggered by the reverse lights, which I think is a pretty smart way to do it.

    Clarity is pretty good, even at night (see the attached pictures). The GPS screen is pretty small, so it's restricted by that but it's big enough. It has a slight flicker for a moment when the camera first switches on, but that's pretty minor.

    Overall I'm pretty happy! Makes reversing a little safer

    He organised a guy to come over and install them in 3 of our cars. But, we all had to meet at the same place and let the installer hop to it.. It's not worth them coming over for 1 car, and even then he might have pulled the pin.

    Default Installation Manual?

    Does anyone here have a installation manual? I just bought a car and pretty sure I have one of these installed but it only activates sometime. The wiring might be all wrong, i wanna check it out and give it a fix.
