Thread: help with flash tune

  1. Default help with flash tune

hi everyone new to this site and mazdas in general i looking to get my mps flashed probably just stage one with no mechanical yet mainly want that small power increase that can be achieved through flashing and to remove the factory restrictions eg..power reduction in 1 2 3 gear and steering angle input, speed limiter and possibly others i dont know about. can i achieve this with the cobb ap..? and are the cobb tunes any good in the way of driveabillity eg...does it idle drive and feel like factory just with a little more power? i know a little about tunes i had a legnum prior to the mazda and it was flashed and my liberty before that had an ems ecu that was a lot of fun.....not :-/

    Cheers guys Todd

Will remove early gear restrictions and speed limiters...

Else probably a bit more responsive than stock with a small power increase.

Won't fix the steering angle issue though...

How long till that ethanol sensor is up and running?

And what are the plans for it to control?

Obviously fueling, what about boost or timing?

    Probably spark, maybe load targets.

Interested in versatuner eth too @Todd I can certainly recommend a custom tune with either cobb ap or versatuner over just the ots tunes. Several great tuners in the US and @Rayd in aus are all good options with either platform.

    You can order at https://www.versatuner.com/ordering.aspx

If you don't already own a J2534 interface cable, your best bet is to get the VersaTuner+VersaLink bundle for $549 USD + shipping

Final pricing including shipping will be shown in AUD in the Paypal checkout.

The very first thing VersaTuner does is backup your existing ROM image (tune). It stores it on your hard drive so you can revert back to the original image at any time.

Here are some before and after dyno charts for a 100% stock vehicle.

Here is a list of pre-built tunes that come with the software.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
