    Default Accessport V3 Query

Currently running Tunehouse Ecuteck tune , looking to purchase V3 Accessport.
Will the accesssport save my current ecu flash . or will it only save /revert back to OEM original settings.
Very happy with current tune ,but costly and time /travel heavy to keep visiting Jim from Qld.

You get the option to back up the ecuteck and it will reinstall that tune as the stock tune if you uninstall the AP.

It backs something up, or says it does, though it is hidden so I cannot tell if it actually keeps a copy of the ecutek tune or not.

In other words I can't help you lol.

It does save your current ECU map including the ECUtek map but as Jase said, it is hidden within the accessport and is backed up on the computer once connected after.

it takes about 30 minutes to backup and can be put back on the car only by uninstalling aka unmarrying the AP from the vehicle.

Nothing wrong with Ecuteck ,it was the no 1 tuning option ,"but the times are a changing" All credo,s to Jim ,my tunes have been fantastic .
Technology and versatility have led me to move on , plus Cobb have proved them selves to be the leader of the bunch , plus i can get rid of my Dashawk and have more options .
Rayd , has the power in his hands .
Also the Sydney traffic (scares the shit out of me ).lol.
Way to many mods, way too much money spent, way way too much time spent = the wifes no 1 Enemy.
    But i,m Smiling

Mine didn't, started perfectly normal after saving factory map. (30 minutes to save map, then couple minutes to flash new one). If battery can't handle that it may need replacing some time in the near future...

i didn't bother wasting the time saving my Ecuteck lol, could always go back and get the Ecuteck flashed back by the vendor if the Car was to be sold etc and the AP had to be unmarried. With the AP the way you can have various maps tuned to suit your driving style and fuel it's a better vehicle all round

Hope your ECU is not locked as mine appears to be locked I'll give a different cable a try ,even though Brett Middleton from MRT tells me that Ecutek don't lock your ECU
