Gear Box issues - Please Help

Hi guys,

New member here.

I have a short shifter in my Mazda 3 MPS, and when I drop down into second gear the gear more often than not pops out and goes into neutral, is this a common issue and how do I fix it?

Also, another issue is , just recently when shifting into third gear fast the gear crunches, but only changing into third.

Any help would be appreciated.

The popping out of second is fork pads -I think - the third gear crunch could be syncro rings - either way it's probably an open it up and find out type problem. The pads a relatively easy fix I think. syncros more challenging.
