Default Cleaning and Upkeep for Leather seats

    Hi guys,

I had a rather long squizz at the other thread about cleaning leather etc.
I have a few other questions though.
Ok so ive never 'owned' a leather interior on any of my cars before.
I have some Armorall leather wipes that ive used once and wasnt too happy with the result to tell you the truth. My leather seats are in good nick but have a few blemishes i would love to get rid of... ill take pics to show you all but here we go...

Stages and what products needed to clean and protect the leather seats.
    1. Vacuum?
    2. Clean with...
    3. Shampoo? with...
    4. Condition? with...
    5.
    6.
    7. etc..

    EG-
As with the body you would-
    1. wash
2.strip off all of the other polishes and waxes
    3. polish
    4.wax etc etc etc...

    Get my drift?

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers

Yeah mate, vacuum if it needs it. Use one of those soft nozzle ends on your vac if you've got them.

    Clean with something like:

    Blackfire Interior Cleaner
    Megs Interior Wipes

And then condition with something like:

    Prima Nourish

Meguiar's also have a couple of cleaner/conditioner in one products

    Meguiars Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditioner
    Meguiars Gold Class Leather Wipes

I had a Accord Euro luxury prior to buying the MPS 2 months ago and used only Meguires leather conditioner/cleaner the whole time and the black leather still looked great even after 3 and a half years and 100,000km's. Only used the Meguires on the MPS seats a couple of times so can't really comment too much on that but looking good so far.

Another vote for the Meguiars conditioner, it's good stuff. Revived my "light grey" leather and made it nice and dark again.

    Cheers guys for the help.

Looks like ill give them a-
    vacuum (i always do but)
    Cleaner
    Conditioner

I used the good old 'ARMORALL' wipes last night on the 3 spots that would come off with a little bit of water, seemed to have removed the spots, it was night and only had interior lighting, so will have to check in the sunlight.

    ARMORALL leather wipes=
    1. Leaves the seats 'blotchy' - Does not condition evenly
    2. Too high a gloss finish for my liking
    3.Slippery slidey whilst driving afterwards
    4. All of the above lol

= Not the best product on the market
