Default Replace OEM BOSE headunit with aftermarket

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any one has heard of these:

Mazda 6 Digital HD Gps/DVD /Bluetooth /Ipod - eBay Players, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 10-Sep-10 17:59:02 AEST)

Its a headunit that replaces the MPS BOSE sound system with DVD/CD/MP3/GPS/USB/SD/DVB-T. Does anyone think that the likes of Alberts car audio or places like that can get them in stores for people to do look at? Or does anyone know of these and have 1 fitted?

    Cheers,

    Chris (MADAZ MPS)

Your cheaper and better option would be to get a dash kit and an aftermarket HU like a Alpine or Pioneer kind of thing.

Dash kits are fairly cheap and most places which sell car audio have them in stock or can order them and then your options for HUs are endless!

Just had a quote from a place down in my area, $1200 just for the dash kit, then the cost of the HU.

$1200 for a dash kit. . I've got a navigation headunit in my 3 and an oem dash 'kit' . I shall post info on it soon. Theres a website that you can order oem parts from japan. Have a look at the site once i post it up. otherwise I'm sure there are kits from the US on ebay or something

The kit includes pricing for a bose converter.

I was quoted not much less to do a conversion on my rx8.

indeed, no need for a converter IF you are getting line level outputs from the new headunit OR if you get speaker level outputs (double amped), dont mind only getting to volume 3 to start getting loud

its not very hard to get line level output hooked up, once again it will be in my how to once I get it written up
