XFORCE was out and about over the weekend with a number of local dealers, proud to be supporting Shane van Gisbergen and the TEKNO Autosports team as they tackled the Ipswich SuperSprint.

The XFORCE sponsored car had a flying start to the weekend, with the #97 car starting sixth on the grid for race 18 and finishing up in 4th place after a race long battle with Mostert, topped off with a final lap bout against Lowndes.

Unfortunately race 19 was cut short due to a split gearbox case on the grid ending van Gisbergen’s race hopes early; the first time Shane has been forced to retire since October 2013.

The hiccup from race 19 proved to be costly leading into race 20 with the car getting minimal soft tyre running and struggling for pace to finish up in 21st from a 23rd place start on the grid.

The weekend was a great opportunity for XFORCE dealers to come along and interact with the TEKNO Autosport team as well as watch Shane van Gisbergen out on the track.

The XFORCE sponsored car will next be racing at Sydney Motorsport Park, 21-23 August. Van Gisbergen will be on the hunt for championship points after scoring highest at this stop during the 2014 championship.
