At XFORCE Performance Exhaust, we love getting behind the small grassroots events and giving the support the many weekend racers deserve. We’re proud to announce that we will be sponsoring the Temora 1000 on October25, 2014.

The Temora 1000 was created after watching the UK Top Gear trio run on the American salt flats. After enjoying the show, a couple of club members started to throw some ideas around, to do something different for the final round of our club championship and the idea was born.

The event organisers found the Temora Airport to be the perfect venue. Temora's runway is built to a standard that allows aircraft tyres to grip, no matter the weather. It is an aggressive, small type of exposed aggregate. It is tightly held in place, and seems to take the punishment very well.Once you leave the start you will see every 250m clearly marked, with big flags for the finish, leaving 600m to pull up. While you’re welcome to use approved motor sport type semi slick, there is no real advantage.Tyre warming is not permitted, which is like a performance leveller, as it is not a prepared drag strip.

With the amazing support from the Temora council, and Temora Aviation Museum, NSWCCinc this sensational event has been created which has attracted competitors from all over Australia to take on the Airstrip to set a new record or improve their personal best time as well as attempting to break 300kph to be inducted into the prestigious Club 300.

This year, keep a look out for the Temora 1000 Track/ Recovery Car, a Black 2010 HSV E2 Maloo Ute with an Edelbrock supercharger. This Maloo is fitted with one of our full header-back Varex systems so you will definitely hear the roar! We’ll have lots of giveaways as well so make sure you get down to the event and look for the XFORCE girls!
