i haven't used one, and my impression was that the PTP fuel pump upgrade was the way to go, according to the mazdaspeed forums?

Wouldn't worry about a pump upgrade until your definitely sure that you're running out of fuel, seems to be a lot of hype around the fuelling issue, but not much real world proof of pump failures (locally).

A red MPS in my rear view mirror, getting smaller and smaller ...havent run a CDFP log for a while, last time I checked there was no reason for me to upgrade the pump, as I mentioned in another post, there was a strong emphasis on the fuel pumps being to blame for the poor results of another tuning method.

I had a Pump kit upgrade (different brand) it failed. That was a scary situation.

Complete pump purchased for piece of mind.

I wouldnt spend money on a kit, with all the potential issues. Pump upgrades are unnecessary for the majority of us. Even my own pump is a waste considering my current state of tune.
