Had it installed last Friday. That was the easy bit. Sat around chatting for this part. Got in and was expecting vibrations equivalent to those of the TRZ dogbone mount which i had for about 3 months - 6 months ago.
Turning the car on i felt the vibrations instantly and thought "oh crap", but wanted to take it for a little drive to sus it out a little better. Reversed out and onto the street and stopped the car. Took off from a stand still and my worries about the vibrations were immediately eased. Barely any. Some very minor cabin vibrations at about 1000rpm when taking off which instantly ceased as i was moving. whilst driving you can feel the difference. There is a general slight different feel in the car, like a vibration but it's not in a negative way. It feels like the car is ready to jump off if you want it to. I like it. ( oh and compared to the TRZ dogbone mount, its about a million times less harsh)
the first 3 or 4 gear changes you could tell the difference immediately. The gears went in so much smoother and there was no movement in the car. It just felt so smooth. No jerkiness at all( which could have been caused by me being a shite driver - but i doubt, because my driving wouldn't have improved overnight so drastically.)
The general feel of the car is great. Gave it a few squirts and there isn't any wheel hop and didn't notice any torque steer, which was a bit upsetting - i personally like torque steer.
So far i've only done about 150km with the new mount and it feels great and would not swap back to stock. the tiny amount of vibration compared to the overall great feel it provides is a very good pay off. And, if as everyone says, the mount settles over time, i don't think vibrations will even come into the equation.
Definitely recommended.
p.s Thanks again to lazydog and MPS garage for arranging and shipping so quickly.

im hoping mine arrives soon![]()

i have been put off getting new mount by the negative feedback about vibrations and harshness
I m keen to get one now after reading impressions of the CPE 60 Duro mount

hmmm considering this one now, would really like to drive in someones car who has it.

Cant wait for mine to get installed tone. Have to pick it up first...Am interstate so it'll be a week till i get to test out the new mount.

have to pick it up? i sent it out to you via tnt. you should have it today or latest tomorrow. Or do you mean about a week till you put it in?

I got mine installed this weekend. It was a PITA to get those nuts off I must say. It turns out the rubber in my stock mount was ripped all the way aroundso it was a good thing I decided to buy the new mount.
The vibration was VERY NOTICEABLE with the air-con on on standstill, otherwise it was quite minimal throughout the other gears and when moving. I could definitely feel that the engine was jerking less on gear change under hard acceleration. Hence the gear changes do feel a lot smoother than before.
I've only done about 50kms so far with the new mount and seeing that I don't have a stock mount to go back to, hopefully the vibrations will settle down.
I tried to fit mine today, however I could not get the bottom bolt out of the gearbox bracket, first pull of the ratchet and it became a round bolt
, (I think that about covers how I feel about that)
I tried to squeeze it in without getting the bracket off, but I couldn't squeeze it in no matter how I tried.
Instead I fitted the TRZ dogbone mount I had.
It came out after about 5 mins. The vibes were terrible. No way could I put up with that. The car became a time machine and felt like I had solid mounts in it, or it had changed into a shitty old ford escort running on three cylinders.
The TRZ might be good for someone who wants to race it but no good for me.
Now I have to work out how to get that stubborn bolt out, so I can try the CPE one.

The TRZ mount is terrible tigmanica.
Joe i got it from MPS garage, and had it installed at TurboXS in hornsby. Where abouts in Syd are you
