    HID Colour Chart

    What is Kelvin (K)?
Colour Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a specific type of light source. Many people believe the misconception that colour temperature is a rating of the brightness of the bulb or HID kit. This belief is completely false. The reality of the matter is that the higher the colour temperature, the less useable light output you will obtain. A perfect example would be a black light. This light has a colour temperature of approx 14000k and has almost no useable light or lumens output. Higher K kits such as 12000k, 14000k, etc have been manufactured for individuals that are more concerned about the actual colour output of their lights as opposed to the actual useable light output.

    What is Lumen (lm)?
The international unit (SI) of luminous flux (quantity of lights). For example, a dinner candle produces about 12 lumens and a standard 60-watt incandescent bulb produces 830 lumens.

Ive got the 6000k from RPM store and they are great, really nice crisp white colour, with just a tinge of blue / violet on the cutoff. You dont want to go any higher though as the greater the colour temp, the more your eyes will fatigue as the light is more prone to diffusing, and are illegal in most cases.

The standard bulbs are ~4300k (daylight is around 5250k)

As far as changing the bulbs you need to remove the front bar, to then remove the headlights in order to gain access to the bulb, the bulb itself is a simple swap.

dont you just screw out the holder from behind the headlight? And do you have to get then levelled when you swap the ones from therpmstore ova?

Have you tried to access the holder behind the headlight for the main beams, let alone jam your hand in there to carefully remove and replace a bulb.
No further adjustments are required as the headlights are auto levelling.
