Yesterday I started my car and after about 10mins of driving my Check Engine Light appeared
I have a 2009 3 MPS GenII with 44,000kms
The last thing I did to my car was install my Lakin Plate Brackets, so I don't think that did it
I opened the bonnet as the car suggested and checked my engine, and it was still there in the engine compartment. As that's as far as my mechanical knowledge goes, that's all I could check!
Any suggestions?

Find someone with a DashHawk to read the code.
Otherwise,
remove the negative battery terminal,
press the brake for 10 seconds (this removes any "charge" the system may hold),
reconnect the battery.
If it reappears, disconnect the battery for 30 minutes.
If it still reappears, take it to Mazda.
Some MPS have been known to randomly have a CEL come on, then never again.

$10 its a P0421.
I'm sure a friendly local with a Dash Hawk or a OBD reading device, like the Torque app on that Android can assist...
That's why I bought the Garmin, with the Ecoroute HD, reads and clears CELs
As long as the CEL isn't red, you should be ok to drive on it (hopefully)
Good Luck.

Boss: Okay, I mean, we can see your bulge.
Dale: Okay, first of all, they're extremely comfortable. And second of all, at this point in your life, if you haven't seen a bulge, well, I just feel sorry for you.

Interesting. Will give the ECU a reset
Maybe Mazda makes it go off, so you have to bring it in for service! Money Makers

Edit: I just rang my dealer and asked what it might be?
He said "if you pop in, I quickly Code Check it for you"
I know that Saturday's are really busy, but he said, I'll squeeze it in
Really nice guys down at Garry & Warren Smith Mazda
There is already a $10 bet on P0421
Any other takers??

I'm not sure who in the Melb group has an OBDII port scanner
I'd go woth Troy's advice first and try disconnecting the battery to see if that clears it

Always handy to have an OBDII port scanner, just in case the light comes on in future. Saves the hassle of having to go to Mazda or find someone to check the code.
They quite cheap on eBay depending on what you're after or get yourself one of these - Scan Tool - Performance Meter, Data Logger, Scanner | DashDyno SPD
The hypetech tuner also have one built in, if you decide to flash tune your car. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.
Trying to keep it subtle ... | MZR SRI | 2XS Short Shift Plate + SURE CounterShift | SURE Rear Engine Mount (Street) | Speedline Front Strut Brace | SURE AGS SS Shift Knob | Hypertech Flash Tune | Prima Paint Protection |
What mods have you got?
If you have a DP it will be a P0421.
