what do i need to purchase before taking my car to Xspeed for a tune? Do i need to purchase a new ecu or is the standard ECU on the car programmable?

Depends on whether they have flashing software for our ECU's.

From memory RPW was the only place in WA that was capable of reading/writing our ridiculously complex ECU's.

If RPW are the only ones, what do i need to get for an ECUteck tune. Coz there are only 2 places in WA which offer. Maximum Motorsport in Malaga and Race Torque Engineering in Wangara.

    Just a theory......
Ring the two places you are looking to get a tune from. See what that have to tell you. Report back here and let us know what info they have given you. Let the people here that have already had a tune done help you decide which way is best to go.

Maximum may be able to do it if they can get the know-how from Brett Middleton in Sydney.
David from RPW is looking at various options, bus AFAIK is not reflashing just yet.
Regardless, you'll need to get your TMIC and DP installed before looking at tuning.

    That's good to hear.
David from RPW's been working on it for a while now, so I hope he has some success.
He may also be able to assist with the VersaTune setup, for those who go down that path.
