    Default Lakin plates

    Hi All

After having a look at Dan's (Caffeine Fiend) GenII 3 MPS, i have decided to shell out the cash and order my Lakin Plate brakets and covers
I went to their website and everything was fairly easy to work out after reading everything on the page

I currently have KingPin Pinstriped plate covers on, and I wanted the same look but could only find the clear plates covers

I rang Phillip on the 1300 number and he was extremely easy to speak to and honest. I only need to purchase 1 plate cover as my rear one will work with their plate bracket

    So I have ordered
    1 x Front Bracket - Mazda 3 MPS - 2009 - Onwards

    • Plate Attachment Screws - Standard Allen Head Screws (inc key)
    • Number Plate Dimensions - VIC - Slimline 5 character - 315mm x 100mm
    • Bracket Finish - Black Powder Coated Finish
    1 x Rear Bracket - Mazda 3 MPS - 2009 - Onwards

    • Plate Attachment Screws - Standard Allen Head Screws (inc key)
    • Number Plate Dimensions - VIC - Slimline 5 character - 315mm x 100mm
    • Bracket Finish - Black Powder Coated Finish
1 x Prestige Number Plate Cover (Sold as single units) Striped Lens
    • Fitted to OUR Brackets? - YES
    • Number Plate Size/Style - Slimline 5 Character Plate - 315mm x 100mm
    • Special Modifications (Optional) - Form cover to special shape
The Bracket and the cover will be heat formed to suit the GenII front bumper (as Dan's has his)

Once they are on, i will add to this post

    Thanks
    SLIXX

    Nice one Pete .

I found Lakin to be great for service. They didn't have a Gen 2 bracket when I approached them so Phillip hunted down a Gen 2 to measure up. They gave me awesome service and although I was unsure about spending the cash, I'm glad I did, the brackets I bought look great .

Ps. My little beast was the model on their site for the plates .

    Hey Slixx,
From memory a drill and a 7mm drill bit did the job on mine just fine..
Have fun doing this as you will not regret the change at all
    Good luck!!
    Cheers.
    Andrew
