Default Replacement front bumper scrape guard thing

    Anyone had theirs replaced?

I'm talking about the (plastic?) piece thats the first thing to scrape on a steep driveway. Mines had a very hard life and I'm wanting to replace it at the same time I have the front bar off for a re-spray.

At this point I'm trying to source one from Mazda Spares (Hornsby NSW dealership). If anybody knows a better/cheaper place to get one please tell us about it

Mazda gave me a quote once for about $30 - $40 per piece. (it's made up of two pieces)

That was quite reasonable I thought.

That sounds much cheaper than I had anticipated

I've been trying to get through to spares in Hornsby but they seem to not be able to answer phones...

    That doesn't sound like Mazda...

I'm sure I had seen a Carbon Fibre one on MPS Garage or Street Unit???
Probably not as cheap as a standard one, but would look the bomb!

    Check out:

It looks a bit different than the stock one, but I'd go one!

Tom Kerr' scan order one in. Its 2 halves (left and right) $48.50 each half.

Compared to the $469 for the CF one at MPS garage I think ill take the factory option

I have always thought this would be a pretty much destroyable part and I'm happy to leave my "mazda beard" on haha mine has been demolished but I reckon a new one would end up the exact same way.

Yeah it will, and thats kinda the point. There is very little left of mine and as such when the front crapes it scrapes paint instead of plastic. The plastic being the cheaper of the two to fix up!!

So a respray for the front bar and a new scrape guard will tidy it up. You probs wouldn't see the scrapes if you didn't know they were there, but I know they are. and it 's me
