I personally really liked the TJ's, my fav of course the Ralliart. Yeah, the body kit was a little OTT, but I heard one at WOT and wow, a falcon or bomb-o-dore couldn't touch it for aural sensation.

It's a bloddy shame the Aussie public haven't taken to the Magna. Imagine if sales were good and prompted Ralliart specials like an Aussie bred Magna EVO. There is ceraainly the tech to do an AWD platform. Holden did it for the Coupe 4 (though there wasn't a huge rave about that thing).
I guess it came down to the public shying away from big cars, the "religion" around Holden and Ford and perceptions (unfounded I'm sure) of quality concerns.

Boss: Okay, I mean, we can see your bulge.
Dale: Okay, first of all, they're extremely comfortable. And second of all, at this point in your life, if you haven't seen a bulge, well, I just feel sorry for you.

The problems with the magna started and finished with the TL Model Smiley face design. People would prefer to buy a 2nd hand TJ rather than get a TL Smiley face no matter if the TL was cheaper. IF Mitsubishi had retained a similiar look as the TJ, the Magna / 380's would still be going strong in Australia Today.
They lost too much money on the Magna TL / TW Series, and the 380 whilst a fantastic car, they left it too little too late to recover.
