    Bathurst Edition Evo on track

TMR-tuned limited edition Lancer Evolution makes debut at Bathurst

Mitsubishi Ralliart is releasing a limited run of uprated Evo models, known as the Bathurst Edition. Fittingly, TMR used competitor days for the Bathurst 12 Hour event to showcase the new Evolution.

Mitsubishi's already hot Lancer Evolution is reworked by TMR including an engine upgrade good for an extra 30kW, now at 247kW versus 217kW, and a considerable increase in torque, at 436Nm compared to 366Nm.

The Bathurst Edition also gets a TMR exhaust for increased flow and a bespoke Progressive Rate Spring Package which lowers the car around 30mm for improved handling.

Upgrades include powder coated 18-inch wheels in black, in a stylish spoke design and with TMR centre caps, and shod with Dunlop SP Sport 600 tyres. The legendary Mount Panorama track forms the outline of neat 'Bathurst Edition' badging front and rear, and the interior is treated to a build number plate on the dashboard.

Just 100 of the Bathurst Edition Evolutions will be built by respected race engineer Alan Heaphy and his team at TMR.

Mitsubishi Australia and TMR have yet to decide a price, but Heaphy told the Carsales Network the Bathurst Edition upgrades would be offered for a reasonable premium over the Evolution, ensuring those looking to buy the 'usual' model were tempted to try TMR's version.

Any Mitsubishi dealership stocking Ralliart models can offer servicing for the Bathurst Edition Evolution.

We managed to grab a lap in the TMR Evolution during the Bathurst 12 Hour pre-event competitor day, and it's a ripper. The extra dose of torque serves the Evolution well, helping it to charge up the mountain with ease.

Already a good handler, the Evolution was well behaved in the track's twists and dips, and over stretches was comfortable despite the lower TMR-set ride height.

Team Mitsubishi Ralliart has offered us a few days in the Bathurst Edition Evolution so visit the Carsales Network again for our full road test review.
