Mazda Guru, I posted this in May Sales figure thread, you may not have seen it so posting again
curious as to how the mps3 gen2 sales figures compare to those that were for the mps6 for the 3 years that the mps6 was in production
Would you have any month by month or other figure comparion between say sales of the MPS6, MPS3gen1 and MPS3gen2 for similar 'in production' time slots
wonder if white can save the MPS3 from the same path that happened to the 6
Taken my boring, bland, lame Subaru and my fat ass and driven off into the sunset with a smile on my face

A noticeable car missing is the Falcon, how many do they sell per month?

Apologies for missing that. I'll post up some figures tomorrow.
Ford sold only 1,847 Falcons last month. YTD they've sold just 9,083 (an average of 1,513 per month). That's 43% down on the same period last year. Note: that excludes the Falcon Ute which is also 30% down YOY.

Falcon is doomed. I don't think the 4 cyl ecoboost motor will save it...
Also I wonder how many were GT's in the 7 RX8's sold?

Yeah Ford is stupid for not having the egas falcons selling now, that was about 700 units a month... Ford aren't putting time or money into the sales of the falcon now they are backing mondeo and ranger sales atm also starting to build up the territory.
They claim they wanna launch the falcon with FG2 with a full range of new motors (doubtful on a v8) just after before the new focus hits the rooms.

Falcon is screwed, no real better way of putting it.
And just look at the cars in the top 10, hardly any of them are known as fuel efficient cars. So I doubt the "ecoboost" engines will help (ecoboost is is just direct injection and turbo - same as the MPS motor, so I don't see the fuss)
Commodore is still selling well, though the cruze isn't far behind, but at least holden will/are making them, so should the sales of commodores completely drop, they still have a strong selling locally made product to fall back on.
What have Ford got?
Nothing obviously.
One figure I would be interested to see if its at all possible, what percentage of the 3's sales are diesels?
I think the percentage of diesel cruze is fairly high.
Will be interesting to see if there is a rise (or fall) in sales once the new engines are introduced.

Interesting, the mx5 isn't selling much better than the mps...

A mate of mine looked at an MX-5... Dealer told him not to bother... Quote "It's a toy, you will be back in 3 months looking for a real car. Lots of guys buy these things and then get bored with them very quickly."
So if that is their sales pitch for it, then no wonder it does not sell...
Chris.
