Default New member from the Hunter

    Hey All

I am a new member to ozmps, having recently bought an '05 MPS6. My family have owned Mazdas for years and I've always been a fan however this is my first Mazda!

You may see me driving around Newcastle, but there are at least two other liquid silver MPS6's in the area - I pass one every day to work. I have bonnet bulge stripes and MPS decals on the side skirts.

Look forward to talking to you soon!

    Andrew

Welcome Andrew. I also have a silver 05 6MPS and am based in Gosford but get up to Newcastle sometimes on business. See you around.
If you ride isnt modded, start saving 'cos its worth it This car has effectively been de-tuned byMazda with the use of restrictive air intake & exhaust down pipe. Replacing these isnt too expensive and you can then follow with a retune (EcuTek) to allow it to be "all that it can".

HEY!! I am really sorry I know I've been slack as! Work has been so demanding I have barely had a moment to sit down...at least I have been driving my MPS to work Hopefully the weekend just gone was the last I will be working for a while.

Thanks all for the warm welcome, would love to go on a cruise and meet you. Luke, I will definately take Foxy. Knows nothing about Mazdas (hence why he drives a Telstar and not a 626) but a good bloke and has plenty of time for the drive.

Loving the car at the moment, doing a few different things to it - this weekend I'm putting a PG turbo inlet pipe on (if it came in the mail today) and a Turbosmart Kompact BPV and am going to give the MAF/IAT sensors a clean. Might also give the coil spring stretch a go. Have owned the car for 6 months but haven't done anything to it apart from replacing the brakes! It's a great car and one I have been happy to leave standard...although I may be even happier with some mods! Time and money...

Anyway is great to see so many into the MPS!

I've read somewhere that you take apart your ignition coils and get the spring out and stretch it out say half an inch. Apparently this way it gets better contact?

I don't think it was me going past Broadmeadow High, I haven't been out that way in a while - I work in school hours too
