Hi ozmpsclub,
I have spent the last two weeks reading over your very informative forums. Thank you to all those who have spent time answering all of the questions I had in one way or another.
Last night I picked up the 2006 Mazda 6 MPS, it is a dream to drive, and just a pleasure to sit in. I am looking forward to catching up with some other MPS owners in the near future.
I have one question regarding stock panels or fixes for the car, It has been a family car in the past and has some minor cracks (front splitter) and I would like to either repair them or buy a replacment one. Is their someone other than mpsgararge or is that the best bet?
Thanks
Tim
PS: ill post some pics once I have had an afternoon to give it a polish.

Welcome Tim, where you from and what colour is the new car and there is a post here for your splitter which I will try and track down for you...

hope to see you on a cruise soon![]()

Welcome - and great to see another 6 - hope to meet you on a cruise soon.

Hi Tim andto ozMPSclub!
Glad you're liking your ride and by all means any other questions fire away. If you have any pics of the front splitter damage, post them up. We can maybe come up with a few ideas/solutions. If you're happy with the link Rino attached, let me know if you have any questions as it was myself and Toddy22587 that attempted two types of Front lip installs on our rides. If you want some info on mods, pics or a few how to's check out the forums in the respective sections or you're welcome to have a browse on my RR (see link below on sig) thread.
Enjoy your new car mate!

Thanks for welcome everyone.
I'd just like to clarify why I am so impressed with the ozMPS's web page, you answered all my questions... and I didn't have to ask any, all the answers were already in posts. thanks
The two main fixes that will bug me until they are done are the front splitter and the rear plastic inserted panel (due to a tow ball). I have attached some basic pics of the damage. The car has been lowered (looks awesome) but this has caused the front splitter issue. I will remove the tow bar this weekend and see if i can do a temp fix on that rear piece.
thank you for the info and that awesome post from rogwick thanks for pointing it out 240MPS. if you have had any similar issues or have some ideas I would appreciate the input.
photos are still on the way but I am embarrassed to post anything without giving the car the wash it deserves.
Thanks
Tim

Timmy, glad to hear you're getting all the info and we have just sat back and let you read! lol
Thanks for the pics and yes, I can see why you would be seeking a repair. Wow your car is low!! Ok, for the splitter, best check here - - itching-front-lip-mazda-6-mps - - scroll to Mal's (kmh001) comments and you will find a little info on the splitter and some handy images. If I were you and considered fixing this, I would try a Mazda wrecker, online or maybe Mazda parts to purchase a new splitter and install it.
As for the rear, a shame about that crack. Again, wrecker, online or Mazda parts for a new one. OR for both the above, I'm not sure how talented you are or what friends and family you may have access to, maybe the rear could be plastic welded, glued, putty, respray?? All these things come in to mind that may be cheaper. Depends how bad the front splitter is cause you could sand it back so it's even, apply a black paint and go with our DIY LIP thread and you won't even notice the fix.
In any case some new parts would probably look the goods, but at a price!
