- Mechanical/Performance (was told some had problems n they upgrade the part cant remember what though)
2. Mechanics in NSW that specialist in MPS 3
3. Common problems?
4. What do i need to upgrade from standard to make it more reliable NOT PERFORMANCE (eg. read that mps 3 had engine mounts problems)

The S E A R C H function is your friend.
Do some reading, there is plenty of info here if you look for it.

also i did do a google search but i couldnt find a site that shows the diferent types of models and the differnece in these models

There are 2 models.
Poverty Pack.
No Leather
No Bose
No HIDs
Silver wheels
Fat pack (becuase it is around 35Kg heavier)
Semi leather (except where you sit)
Bose (extra weight from sub and amp)
HIDs (extra weight from auto levelling system and headlight washers)
Hi gloss alloys (extra weight from the extra paint)
Upgrade the engine mount to be worry free motoring and thats it.

Sigh...
Gen1 (aka BK) available from 06-09, with a mid life update changing some interior trims mainly, mechanically the same although ongoing improvements were made.
06-08 BK MPS
08-09 BK MPS update
Two models, MPS and MPS Sports Pack
Sports Pack came with part leather seats, Bose 7 speaker stereo, low beam Xenon headlights and wheels finished in shadow chrome over the standard model.
Rear engine mount was fixed under recall, although many still replace it to improve gear shift quality and stop excessive engine movement.
Turbo oil seal leakage is a well known issue, within a certain VIN range all displaying symptoms were covered under warranty, most replaced between 20000-50000km. Some are still out there however.
Tunehouse in NSW is a favourite of many here for a workshop.
....continue to search and read, all the info is here and not hard to find.

I know one MPS workshop in Sydney that I won't comment on.
Tune house is a site sponsor too. Good call TD![]()

Probably a good idea to buy an aftermarket BOV as well.
Just so happens i know of one for sale at a ridicuously cheap price..........
GFB GT Hybrid BOV/BPV.
so some mps (05-09) had turbo oil seal problems and the problem started between 20000-50000km and they were replace?
so if i purchase one that has 90000km i shouldnt have a problem with turbo oil seal

i cant remember were i read it from but did some models had a face-lift and led tail lights?

3MPS's all have LED tail lights, and are 06 onwards (6MPS are 05 onwards and don't have LED tail lights). The facelift information is mentioned in the above posts.
90000km should be OK, but to check for smoky turbo, start it and let it idle for 5-15 minutes when warm. If the turbo seals are gone a continual stream of blue/white smoke will come out of the exhaust. Plenty of info here on smoky turbos and you could do a search on YouTube for Mazdaspeed 3 smoking turbo to see examples. To give you an idea mine was replaced at 30000km, but first evident around 5000km.
Incidentally, if you have a particular car in mind you wish to buy post the link up, we may know of it and be able to tell you its history.
Please have a good browse and read of the forums here, you will find all the information you are after as it's all been covered before.
