Default How would you like one of these in your garage?

    Or maybe one of these?

We discovered these cars, among a collection of other very special cars, at a sleepy little place called York about an hour east of Perth. I was so impressed I thought it was worth sharing.

The Williams is the car Alan Jones drove in 1979, the year before he won the world championship. This actual car came first in the German, Austrian, Canadian and Argentine Grands Prix and was the first car to use the "ground effects" system with skirts that slid along the ground to seal the underside of the pods. Apparently it was good for adding up to 2.2 tonnes of downforce to the 580kg static weight of the car.

    Pretty basic accommodation though.....

    Got enough rubber?

Very nice, thanks for sharing! I take it your drive to York turned out to be a good day?

That is a very good motor museum they've got tucked away there, there is another one similar in Whiteman park, Caversham (about 25 mins NE of Perth)

Ross Dunkerton told me the museum in York is owned by ex motor racer Peter Briggs . What you sandgropers doin hidin all these legendary cars in the desert ,now that I know that you have even more tucked away I will be over to have a look. Oh as I remember Margret River Wines aren't to bad either.
