think i've only hit 16 or so psi in 2nd... but most of the time i've been playing around with it, i've been in a place where it's more important to look out the front of car
need a nice straight empty bit of road that i can give it a bit of stick in 3rd...
btw, i use the corksport intake option with my car... have a 2XS SRI + TIP

Awesome post!
Great info![]()

Same. Corksport tune on the HT running 2XS TIP and SRI.

Mine holds 17.5psi to redline...

I don't think 17.5 above 6,000rpm is that dangerous, i think there putting in the context of that, that is when the temps inside the turbo start to become very very hot and if you dont let it cool down 'self turbo timing' before you turn it off that is when serious damage can be done.
I think they mention the 6,000rpm limit for power since thats where the turbo starts to loose efficiency. Maybe your support mods and the HP-F increase its power band.
I doubt you'll be doing damage to the turbo if you take it past 6k running 15+psi, you will just have to give it sufficient time to cool before turning it off.

They're saying that over 15psi and big rpm (turbo rpm. Remember turbos can spin above 10x crank speed) can cause the shaft to soften. Not letting it cool down is the straw breaking Osama's camel's back... This could be a reason the seals flog out too...
