Catback or muffler replacement require a tune, or boost controller?

Hey All,

I am wishing to add a CB exhaust, or has anyone replaced only the muffler+resonator?

I am purely after a better exhaust note, the MPS stock is very uninspiring I feel.

I do not wish to have to worry about a tune, or installing boost guages etc.. unless you think this would be necessary??

not necessary to add a tune or boost gauges, but would look cool

i went with a new cat back but im sure some on here have removed a resonator and it made a good note for them.....im sure they will chime in, I just can't think who they are atm

not sure if you've decided on a catback yet, but i installed my HKS catback on saturday and it has a really nice exhaust note. stock on idle, has that wrx rumble sound when cruising, and just sounds like a menace when you floor it. love it.

I removed my centre muffler. MUCH better sound. I have a DP and a tune too though.

Why would you need a boost controller??? MPS' don't need them...
