Mate most of the intakes on the market will give you significant gains, so i dont think you can really go wrong with any of them. Some guys on here might have different opinions of that tho...

Put that thing on and let your engine breath!

yea in the end there all a bit of pipe with a filter stuck to it !! haha

just make sure it fits the engine bay or find someone else that has it fitted... i am not 100% sure but i see alot of K&N kits are just generic intakes made up and they fit a few different cars ?? correct me if i am wrong ?? just you wouldn't want to order it in and find its to long or bends the wrong way for the mps... not a lot of room to work with that's all length wise..

Aftermarket filters I know think are a must on these motors and even on the NA versions.

I did an intake air temp comparison with the ScanGauge and an aftermarket system dropped that temp by about 15-20 degrees.

The one youve shown in the pic is for the NA 2.0 & 2.3 engines, the MPS (Mazdaspeed) version is an SRI type enclosure with a heat shield around it.

    You can go wrong..

Incorrect size MAF housing +15 LTFT's .. fail

    Nothing like a lean condition..

I hope K&N have it right

You will not get incorrect MAF housing from the companies who have been making these products for 2 or 3 years now. The only times you will get it wrong is if you buy one for another vehicle or you make one yourself.

Can we please sticky at least one of the trillion posts of CAI/SRIs so the same questions don't get asked every couple of weeks.

I have heard that the CPE intakes are the only ones that are guaranteed for life not to throw a CEL.

Lazydog is a CEL a Check engine light? If so does this hinder the cars performance at all? I am looking at getting a Cobb SRI but I'm not keen on it getting CELs

    Tnx
