    Default Oil Catch Can

    Hey all,

I'm thinking about doing this as one of my next mods. I am under the impression the catcher will extent the life of my soon-to-be stressed engine and increase performance (slightly) by catching oil that reduces the octane levels in the fuel used.

Has anyone done one? anyone else wanna do one? GB etc etc etc?

    Thoughts please.

    Jim

I have a can at home that I have never got around to fitting...yet.

Make sure if you do this that you buy a true baffled can, I have a Saikou Michi Stage 2 OCC available from their website Stage 2 OCC Development , these catch cans really work, unlike those highly polished empty tins with a brand stamped on the side of them.

There is a great write up on installing one here,
How to MS3 Catch Can Install with tons of pics. - Mazdaspeed Forums

after you read it you'll see why I havent done mine yet, its a pretty involved job.

Yeah - I read this a went pale. Also saw the GB on can you have - bookmarked it.

I think there are 2 stages here.

    1. Get a GB of the cans together to get a noice proice.
    2. Get a group deal for fitting - APC in Brisbane have offered to fit mine (in fact it was Andrew who suggested it)...I guess MPS Garage in Sydney would be an idea too? (Thoughs please Daniel/Aaron)

Can people start posting interest here before I kick of GB thread....

Update - I am now in contact with Saikou Michi. I am getting pricing for a GB - guessing US$75 + postage (TBA) which equates to $115. Bargain
