After I let people know about my turbo upgrade, I was questioned as to why I went with a 28/76r, rather than the usual 30 series like everyone in the USA has.
I went with the 28 because I wanted to try to retain some street driveability, low down torque.
If you have upgraded your turbo, to what size? And why did you choose that size?

Mine's okay I guess... just trying to rework the bonnet to fit it in.

I dont think this thread turned out how you expected 2XS :-p Funny none the less.
I get mine back tomorrow!! After it had its seal blew. What they did was mine was take the original housing from the stock turbo and replace the internals with a GT28. Cant wait to drive it tomorrow, it has been 3 weeks without it.... But good things come to those who wait.
Oh and why... Because that is what they offered. However after doing the research at the time I came to the same conclusion as you, that the GT28 was a much better option for a daily drive then something with a bigger wheel. I also am not a fan of over boosting so later but stronger boost just wouldnt work for my driving style.

On a semi related note; anyone been following the CP-E "Big Power" thread on MSF?
BIG POWER IS FINALLY HERE!!! - Page 12 - Mazdaspeed Forums
Not that I *ever* want 450whp from mine I'm interested to know what this new tune special sauce can do with the 28 series. ~300kw atw could be fun![]()

My transplant engine is being built now
