Default Where to buy a cbe for gen 1's

Hi all. I was just wondering where I can buy a brand name cbe for my gen 1? I know the gen 2 has more available in regards to cbe here in australia but I can't really find anything for my gen 1 here in Australia (only in America) but im a little hesitant on shipping one over as I do believe their standard gen 1 ms3's have a a little different almost identicle exhaust system having no baffled muffler in exchange for a resonator. Just worried an American cbe eg CNT won't bolt straight on and might have to be modified. Who has fitted something like a hks/cnt cbe system from the states onto their gen 1 Mps here in the land of the meat pie? I've also considered swapping the baffled muffler for a small stainless straight through muffler but would probably rather something factory aftermarket instead of modifying the stock system by changing muffler/removing resonator/removing rear muffler etc.

    Cheers in advance

I'm on the gold coast. I rang a few places but they only do them for the gen 2. One place said they do an xforce system for the gen 1 but I googled it and could only find the xforce system for the gen 2? I'll check out the vendors section thanks

If you are in QLD your local vendor would be 2XS. I'm just waiting for all the fans to roll the thread lol.

Theres not much 'Brand' name CBE for any Gen in Australia. Just get from the States or go custom! Why is it important to have a brand name? Zorst are zorsts no gains so change muffler or invest in DP with std cat back will provide a different note. Thats what I have I'm on the coast....but @2XS will give you exactly what you want! BOOM! lol

Pretty much brand name cbe will be cheaper because they're mass produced it would be more expensive to go custom stainless.

I got quoted a cnt racing catback delivered to my door for $600 from ebay (from the us) not to bad considering I got quoted for a mild steel custom cat back for $1200 which is a joke. Some other exhaust shops could probably do it a lot cheaper just need to shop around.

This is interesting. I have a custom CBE. Noticeable performance increase. Would a DP only give a similar performance increase? Something for the OP to consider.

A DP would give the most noticeable increase in power compared to a cat back

At least PM @2XS and visit his store, www.2xsracing.com Lots of options there.

Our international vendors are pretty awesome though, Corksport are my personal favorite. Get in touch with them, I'm sure they'll give you some good details.
