Jmac have u got the Whistle trumpet ? or standard ?.....

ahh true.. yea nah that would be no good...

I have a 'Turbosmart' BPV from street unit on my MS3. It's a really good valve for both sound and performance. Just sucks how I had to get it from the US when they are made here.

I clicked on the link in the first post to see if it was still active...
Based on todays exchange rate it's approximately $221 delivered if you take the 6-10 days delivery option *Dan is checking his piggy bank*

I've been curious about getting one of these, are they worth the money? Do you need to have a certain amount of previous mods for it to actually be worthwhile? Just seems quite a lot of cash for something that does the same thing as the stock one.

It probably isn't the best bang for your buck. Having said that an aftermarket valve will hold more boost pressure than a stock one. I found the turbosmart valve gave me a little more power at high revs where the power used to drop off. I've also noticed that it holds boost better between gear changes. Finally it sounds a heluva lot better than the stock valve. You still only get the 'whoosh' when you shift at high revs but it's a much sweeter sound and a bit louder. At lower revs when you back off or change gears it makes a deeper sound which is hard to describe but I love it.
