I HATE heat shielding. MPS 6

Ok well the new turbo is in, was a real pain getting the bolts for the oil return line to line up without anyone to hold the turbo for me.
Just need to put the dump pipe and manifold back in tomorrow morning and I should be sweet!

And she's all done! Been for a few test drives and a couple of WOTs. Nothing leaking and no strange noises.
I still have to put two more heat shields and the undertray back on tomorrow, and clean up my garage.

I'm now getting a hint of turbo spool noise above 6psi from 3rd-6th. Sounds pretty cool, can't wait to get a new turbo inlet and SRI intake now

Put it all back on - unless you want a very hot firewall (funny - I wonder why it is called that?). There is a tonne of heat generated back there by glowing turbo and DP. I've often been tempted to louvre the back of my bonnet to let some of it escape.

Yeh its all back on except for the two shields I need to do tomorrow. When I saw how close the alternator was to all that heat (to the point where it has its own air intake thingy), I got scared and put it all back on haha.
