Hi All,
Getting quotes for tyres in Sydney and got a couple of questions:
Does the MPS3 need a front and rear alignment ?
Anyone know the difference between RE050A and RE050 in terms of performance?
Also, for tyres like Goodyear Eagle F1 GS - D3 what is the real difference in performance between Japanese and Chinese manufacturers ?
Thanks,
Allan

As for an alignment, any car needs an alignment if its alignment is not correct! If you feel that its out of alignment have your local tyre/wheel specialist do an alignment / balance for peace of mind.

Thanks,
Just re-read the threads some great info there (takes some reading though)...
In regard to Wheel alignments, when I get new tyres I will get one done, but does the MPS3 need the front and rear aligned ? Some of the tyre dealers said front only (like most other cars I've owned) and some said front and rear - I just need to know which is correct.

If you mean on a regular basis, possibly the front would suffice.
I would get it checked. Find a place with a decent alignment tester and find out.
From experience, my gen 1 mps3 hasn't had an alignment since I bought it in 2007. Judging by the tyre wear I've seen, it may be needed (front as well as rear)
Hope that helps![]()

Not sure with 3MPS, but the price of wheel alignment difference between front and rear is $20-$30, I would get it done anyway.
In regards to RE050 and RE050A:
The A on Re050A stands for Asymmetrical. My understanding is asymmetrical tyres last longer and quiter compared to non-asymmetrical counterpart.
etyres - tyre glossary - Asymmetrical
Correct me if Im wrong.

mps can be aligned front and rear, and is wise to do that, or it can feel off centre when you are driving.
Im not the best person to explain it though lol.
