What if the value of the goods is only $860? Its only over the $1000 mark because of postage.

Looks like ill be ordering them then, not only avoiding inflated australian prices, but also avoiding paying even more money to our wasteful government.
Edit:
Just got a quote form Bob Jane, $442 per corner fitted. No thanks.

Yes only accept wire transfer for paid
5 days from the USA
What exactly IS a wire transfer tho? I can't just netbank them? Do you need to do anything different for that?
You can ask Tire Rack, i when to the bank and their did it for me
Yea thats a problem, my credit union doesn't have a physical presence so I can't go to them. I know some financial institutions offer a similar service for a small fee tho. will check it out.
Why don't they just take visa payments like every other business on earth.... seems a bit dumb.
Isn't a 'wire transfer' just a bank transfer? I.e. You just take money strait out of your account and deposit it into theirs using an account no. & a bsb?
You can probably even do this from an online credit union, I'm assuming that's what you have got Reedy?

Yea but their american bank account details are really wacked out. Not the standard BSB - Acct number that our net banking uses.
Nope you will have to do it over the phone, basically its a international money transfer, call your credit union and ask them, most of the banks charge a fee.
I have done this a number of times for funds going to the UK and viva versa.

and they definitly dont accept anything like paypal?
Good luck, let us know how it goes. im very interested in this idea
No they don't, no credit cards either. Quite annoying really.
I'm going ahead with the order tho, their sales crew are incredibly helpful too. Christmas is coming early for my car.
Money transfer was fairly easy, I just had to fill out a form and fax it to my credit union.
ETA next week awww yeeehhh!
Hi all, not sure if this has been mentioned but Nexus as you mentioned in previous post as an alternative would a 225/45 give you better traction in a straight line (more sidewall flex?) opposed to a 225/40 (less sidewall flex?) which would give you better lateral traction? Is this correct?

Sticking with the 225/40 R18 ones. Was tempted to get the 235's but they were way more expensive and my snow chians won't fit them.
